Welcome to the Scavenger 2020 ride. It is one of our postponed Spring events which I thought you might like to ride now that the Government has relaxed the lock-down rules as set out below.
It is 30 miles through our beautiful countryside with a cafe stop (sorry, temporarily unavailable I’m afraid so you’ll need to take your own refreshments). The route follows predominantly quiet lanes though you will briefly use a couple of main roads in town centres as well as crossing main roads.
Overview of route. Starting from Liskeard you will head north east onto the high ground of Bodmin Moor before dropping into the Lynher valley and making your way to Callington. The route will then head south to Pillaton and again cross the River Lynher on its undulating return. There are 4 clues to collect along the way just to make it a bit more interesting.
The roads will be mostly quiet however surfaces maybe degraded in places and you will encounter other road-users. Please ride carefully using your best judgement.
The start is on The Parade in Liskeard and the finish was to be at The King Donierts (Wetherspoon), Liskeard (oh well, another time…).
Current Government rules allow you to ride on your own or with your household members or, with one non-household member providing you adhere to the 2 metre distancing.
